Is it to hang on the wall or skate with? If its to skate go with Zoo York. I had 2 while I was a Sk8r Boy and they had the most pop I ever came across (as in encountered).

Best thing to do is get something with really cool artwork on it. People are really particular about the decks they skate so he may or may not be able to actually skate it. If you get him something really cool though he can hang it on his wall.

What does he skate normally?
You can pick up just about any deck for Ł50 these days, santa cruz still knock out plenty old skool boards. You can get a world industries complete setup for about Ł60-70.
