Hi all, ive got hold a 2wd exhaust manifold and want fit it to my 4x4 saph.
Apart from turning the housings around on the turbo and fitting a turbo damper, is there anything else that needs to be done?
Cheers,
Gary.

4x4 manifolds are more compact and hold the turbo lower so the centre of gravity. if you want a BIG power motor the 2wd manifold is a better flowing manifold but we are talking 400BHP Plus, which face it your never going to have.
exhaust downpipe will need modding. you need to chop about 2 inch out from just behind the turbo flange & add it into the downpipe.
ask martin at reyland he knows how to do it
turbo damper is not a bad idea either to help support the extra weight.
also you will need a 2wd heatshield as the 4x4 one won't fit with a 2wd manifold.
it does sacrifice some low down torque but it does pull harder on the top end. if yours is a road car I would stick wit the 4wd manifold. if its used for fun & on track then do it.

I will get a box built but for the meantime i'm just gonna have to take it easy.
Mind you that'll be a challenge! Everytime i say i'll take it easy, it just goes out of the window and i end up busting it again!! Lol!
How much was your gearbox and what is it ie; straight cut, big tooth etc?
