Hi what sort of suspension do u use on your escos? I have gaz dampers but not sure what springs. The car sits very low maybe to low,it is very bumpy and i've had enongh of it. It makes driving the car a chore.The car is used mainly on the road occassionly on the track .Just wondering what u all use ? p.s please help as missus is moaning too!

 

are they Gaz coilovers then mate?

if so you could just find that the spring ratings are far to harsh, as Gaz do spec there spring rates far to high.

 

i use a koni sports kit all round and my missus doesn't complain

 

KELV. No there not coilovers mate but they are quite new do u reckon its worth changing
the springs then and if so what would u recommend .

MIKE DAF2. I have konis on my saff which rides really nice but i do not know what springs they are as they were on the car when i bought it .What springs are u using?

Cozzieq, not sure what the springs are as they come as a complete kit. i have also tried the koni web site to see if they list the spring rates but they don't. I would try standard springs with koni shocks if you dont want to lower it as this will still give you a comfortable ride still

That's what I've got on my Escort Cosworth, and it's a very nice set-up for an everyday car.

 

I have just bought the same , but with the ahmed track spec springs, as i do the odd castle combe track day.

 

Can i use the Ahmed spec springs on the gaz shocks or are they speced just to konis ?

 

I believe they are specced to the Koni's but call mike and check.

I've got Koni (yellow) shocks with WOLF (eibach) springs, and Powerflex bushes (all).

I'm very happy with this setup!
