Hi all im new to the forum and i apologise if this thread is in the wrong section. I will be able to afford the insurance on an escort rs turbo in july, my problem is i know nothing about them, i dont no what problems to look out for (other than the obvious) i have around £3500 to spend i would ideally like something that has had the engine modified. Could any one help me out with any advice and what should i expect to got for my £3.5k thanks Tom.

 

You should be able to pick up a very nice car for that money!

RUST is the biggest worry you will have!

Floorpans, sills, chassis legs, battery tray, fuse box tray, inner wings, roof (around sunroof), doors, tailgate (where the glass fits viewed from inside), rear arches, front panel.

Really would be best to either do some proper research or ask somebody who knows these cars to come along with you before you buy.

If you get the right one tho you will love it! They are about as fast as you can go for the money!
