ok those crappy clips that clip up to the sill bit at the bottom that ALWAYS snap... does anyone have any secret methods for avoiding this?
one i head was to drill a small hole thru the sil bit and the broken clip and cabletie it together...
any other methods anyone's using?
i'm sick of spending a LOT of money for some stupid crappy clips that snap the moment you put them on ALL THE TIME
theyre not cheap! especially when you have to buy each one 3 times coz they all break when fitting

I have never seen these clips or rivets so don't know if this would work or not, but .......
Is it possible to flat the head of the rivet, top and bottom, so the clip will slid on horizontally and then rotate the clip 90 deg so it fits under the rivit on the remaining vertical bits of the head ??

nope
the rivet bit isnt a problem at all... its what holds the clip to the skirt
the clips are just that, clips... you push them onto the thin strip of metal that hangs down from the sill...
thing is the clips are NOT pliable! theyre v. stiff, and will snap VERY easily...
stupid bloody material to make a clip from!

my mate a the bodyshop just came up with a idea which may work undersealing the sill section where the clips go on thus giving them more adhesion we are gonna try that with mine
you bunch of homo's
get a fucking heat gun , heat them up till they are litrally melting then push them on . once sitting in place drill tiny little holes and either rivet them on to the metal strip or use self tapping screws . we,v done dozens of them and dont have any problems
by the way if your worried about burning your ickkle pingy's with the heat gun WEAR SOME GLOVES

i had the same snag while rebuilding my 4x4
so what i did was spend another heap of dosh
bought a load more.but this time i filed back the v-ribs that grip the sill when pushed into position until they were a light fit on the sill.this worked out perfect.

changed my passenger side one (in front of rear jackpoint cover) about 5 times,
if it dosn't snap when your fitting it, then it snaps a few days later
in the end, i quicksteeled the remaining part of the clip to the sill, BODGE i
know,,,,,, but it has held for quite a while

well my solution is leave the fookers alone, stop looking at the sode skirts and all ya problems are solved
serious how cares as the kit aint gonna fall off is it
fooking bufty boys

they are brittle anyway so by heating and bending(altering the shape) it relieves the stress on the front edge where they allways snap . and as i said earlier we use either small stainless rivets or self tappers once they're on . never had any probs with them
so no one knows what stickerflexd means
think he ment silkoflex, like tiger seal, a really strong glue the chavs use on there novas to stick or bits and bobs they find in old ladys handbags to there car to make em look faster
