Looking through MEF's website as i need to start building up my suspension for my 450bhp RS Turbo...

Who's using what and what for?

I want to be able to do trackdays in it and i want to be able to do quarter miles so i don't want single discipline suspension - i want something that's good all round...

At the moment it's looking like a £2000 shopping list...

Convert to Series 1 Front End inc. ARB
GAZ Coilovers
MEF Tension Struts
MEF TCAs
MEF Top Mounts
MEF Trailing Arms
MEF Parallel Arms
Powerflex bushes where needed...

Whos running what?

 

Well I'm on Koni T/A's,-25mm springs and fully polybushed,but if I ever could afford it,I'd have that shopping list of MEF products too!!!!I know Ollie at NMS has alot of that stuff fitted.Maybe give him a bell at work for a chat.I've been out in Tonys (NuTS R us) 1600i rally car that has all the MEF stuff fitted,as you'd expect,and the turn in at every corner was fantastic.Send Tony a PM,very very nice bloke and very helpfull too.Regards,Micky

 

Will I got a S1 ARB if you want it?

 

Will I know of a car thats about to be broken MEF coilovers front and rear, front adjustable lower arms RSi setup. Rear Parallel & Trailing arms.

All this and no word of a rollcage? I would of thought a cage would stiffen up the shell for track days and also will the shell be seam welded for the engine that will be dropped into it?

The car has gone complete to Taylor whos on this forum, there's loads of tastey bits on the car, some of which he'll be using the rest of which will be up for grabs soon.
A Nice big Brembo brake setup with 330mm disks and bells(for 17" wheels), AVA spec'd & built Zetec bottom end thats only covered 2000miles(including runing in) with Arrows rods and JE pistons etc etc.
Will I belive should have 1st refusal on the suspension & adjustabe arms.

ps. the bumper isnt melted, it was just me playing with the swirl's on photobucket to filer out part of the reg.

Car gets picked up 2moro so should have decided what is going and what is not by next week some time.

There will be bits advertised in the RST for sale section once i know myself what is happening so if anyone is interested in some very tasty bits then keep your eyes peeled! Although as said above Will has first option on the suspension.
