ive got a escort mk3 se cabriolet. Im putting my frst engine in which runs on ofab. I wanted to make the conversion look factory so decided to fit the mk4 efi escort loom. I found a website called www.rsbible.co.uk. It tells me quite alot about the conversion but have came across a couple of issues that is not explained and i tried to contact the person who wrote the info but cant get a reply. It says about a couple of pin changes to run ofab,which is easy enough to understand,but i was wondering if there is a certain way to remove the pins without breaking them??? also as im going to run ofab,i will have to fit the supressor....BUT WHERE DOES IT GO as i cant work out where it should fit........finally how do i go around fitting the map sensor? does anyone know or if anyone else has done this conversion???

 

To get the pins out you need to get a very thin screwdriver and prise out the red piece of plastic in the plug that goes to the ecu then the pins pull out quite easy,as for map sensor goes just copy ofab loom wireing to get your wires the right way round for the map sensor as ofab and ofac run two different plugs and i think motorsport developments do the supressors and should be able to help you out with wireing it in.Hope this helps.
