im currently putting an astra gte digi dash in my car,what i want to know is how does the dash read the oil pressure from the engine,if i got the pressure switch from a gte would that then read the oil pressure atall or does the dash take the reading from a different sensor on the engine on the gte

 

There is a 2 channel switch, one for the light, 1 for the pressure gauge, you just need to get that switch, then get a fitting for it to go into your block/pump somewhere.

 

would i have to get it from a specialist place then,i went to my local motorist centre and they list a switch but has only got 1 terminal on it,which i pressume would be for the oil light or is that the switch i need as it was listed as the gte item

Just say its for a 1990 astra GTE, that should bring up the right part from autovaux or you local dealer.

 

ive sent them an email as i couldnt really see anything in the parts list

 

do you know if the sensor is a 1 or 2 pin sensor atall please
