Hi all, my norton internet security will be out in a few weeks, is this the best thing to use, or are there free downloadable items that do the same job?

I am on windows xp and don't do much fancy on my pc, internet and thats about it

freeware i would recommend:

Avast anti virus or AVG anti virus

and pay:

Nod32
Kaspersky

 

Just get AVG mate ive used nearly everything, payed and free and i find the free ones do just as good a job.
Ive used AVG for a year now and not had a virus etc

I don't blame you for wanting to get rid of Norton. It's a great program but it's way too memory intensive.. It's a shame how much security we need just to stay online safely these days..
