Default Any Electricians

I currently have an outside light, that doesnt work. Now, I know why it doesnt work - it doesnt have any power going to it.

I have two options to get power to it. There is a double switch, with one switch controlling the downstair hall light, and the other switch has a cable going to the outside light.

Can I somehow link from one switch to the other? Is it as simple as running a short length of wire?

The other option - there is a socket near the switch - can i run a feed from the socket to the switch.

I dont want to hear loads of things about not meeting building regs etc. Just wanna know what'll work and not set fire to my house

I take it originally had power to it? Where has that feed gone?

Not in the time I lived in the house it hasn't. And I cant find any feed that ever went to it.

TBH, with the state some of the things were in the house when we moved in, theres a good chance it never had power
