Sorry to burst your bubble dude but they will only work until the next time your I-Phone speaks to itunes and attempts to download the latest update. It will register with apple as a non-uk phone and promptly disable it.

As for working on non-O2 network - not a chance. You maybe get a signal but the I-phone works in very specific settings only used by the I-phone and only O2 has this setup in the UK so making a call / sending a txt / using the internet will not be possible. Just becomes a very expensive I-pod

 

dans, it works here fine on any provider, but the itunes bit is correct, if apple update firmware it will block the phone and you will have to unbrick it (can bo done now)

Had mine for a month on vodafone works perfectly no problems just click "cancel" when it asks in i tunes to update software!!!

If only the mobile internet on those things was as fast as on the adverts..... the iphone just does things that other phones have been doing for years, but with all that fancy apple marketing it makes people believe theyre getting the latest thing and wonder how they ever lived without one

They certainly missed the boat with business users too, as it doesnt have the ability to connect to an exchange server/domino server using anything other than archaic pop3/imap protocols

Yes i have and works fine plus with the unlocked i phone you can get 3rd party apps like, A NES emulator, Etch a sketch (which clears the screen when you shake the phone!) A psx emulator, piano keys and loads more.

You can get them for around Ł300 unlocked on ebay but i paid more because of the fella's feedback was exemplary.

Well not if you sell your old phone for Ł150 (which i did) therefore i paid Ł175 for a decent phone and an 8GB Ipod.

Not that i was bothered about paying that.

I get your point there, i have 90GB+ of music and sometimes when itunes is in shuffle mode, something will start playing and i will have no idea what the hell it is

I have had one of these cracked for AGES on any provider Ziphone has been out ages and will sort it for you.

You can install a 3rd party app to do MMS on a jailbroken phone

 

Kinda defeats the object really doesnt it, carrying a seperate phone and i-pood around
