Al was a valued and long standing member of this community whom many of us met and liked.
It would be nice if we could arrange a collection for some flowers to be sent from PF to his funeral, but i dont know if we have time, so all those who would like to donate please just vote here so the viability is Known in advance of plans.
Once we have arranged it, i can then see how much will be needed from each member that has voted. Should only be a couple of quid and i can see who voted later on, in fact, anyone can see who voted as ive left the voting lists open for all to see. Please help with this worthy cause.

Stu... a really nice wreath/flowers cost as little as Ł60 and when funeral arrangements are known, it might say 'family flowers only' so perhaps the money raised if family flowers only or over and above if not family flowers only, it could go to Cancer Research, as I believe Speedy's dad also has/had cancer.

Hi guys.
Ive just had it confirmed that its family flowers only at the funeral...but they would like anyone that would of sent flowers...to make a donation to sue ryder(thorpe hall hospice) who took care of alan towards the end.
These can be made via cheque or by doing so online.
im happy to send a cheque from my personal account if people would like to paypal donations to myself...or if there is a possibility of using the same account as all the passionford member fees go to...that would be fine too.

like most people, we know each other online even though we don't meet out in the "real world" so donating some money to the people who looked after him towards the end is a nice way to remember him by
if anna can get some details up i'm sure loads of people will donate

With this in mind, maybe people can donate directly instead. Here is the address: http://www.suerydercare.co.uk/getinvolved/donation.asp

He took so much Banter off me, and he always gave back just as good as he got. I could spend hours on end on this forum having a laugh with him. There where times when I would need to be somewhere, and I would be late or not turn up because I was talking to him. He was such an amazing person, I had so much respect for the way he battled his illness.

Last I heard (on here, one of his last posts, November time) he'd had an operation, was starting on soft food, back on the road to recovery and happy he got his pubes back! Was going to meet up at the Essex/Suffolk meet when he moved to Colchester, before that horrible disease got a grip on him and ruined his plans, really got to me to hear that he'd passed away
