Default Pug 205 peeps

Any one experienced a knackered stub axle on the rear of a 205 before?

I've just changed the rear wheel bearings on my 205d run-about and its taken the slop out of one side, but the other is exactly the same!!!!

All I can think of is the stub axle itself....

indeedy! strange one i thought!

they are kinda knurled/splined. so they grip the trailing arm... pretty sure you can get new arms and stubs. so all is not lost.

Its only ment to be a runaround and to fix a little play I have totally rebuilt the back end of the car...

Like with the oil leak I traced to the head gasket LOL

Bloody cars!

Still it does 60mpg so I'll let it off!

Bent and replaced many of them in competition Alex.

They just knock out.

Hit the rim and induce positive camber on the wheel and when in service we just used to whack them out spin them round 90 and hey presto instant negative again

Cue Bondy1 to tell the story of my stub snapping and my wheel coming off on the M6 and me carrying on off the motorway down the slip road and round the roundabout and into the service station until they could get me a spare with only 3 wheels on
