Default tyres catching arches

i got a mk6 escort as my everyday car and bought some escos rims with 205/45/16 rubber but its catching on the rear when on uneven ground does anyone know weather there is a tool available for rolling the arches cos i can see exactly where its catching and its left a mark on the lip just a few millimetres in
dont really want to go for the rough arse way with the angle grinder as that would be just like a razor blade up there any help would be much appreciated
fed up of doing 20 mph down back lanes

whack em in, or buy narrower tyres. Think some bodyshops do proper arch rolling? But without slotting the lip you'll probably get cracked paint.
