cant be a bad drive though.....the rental corsa i had in ireland, albeit a bit slow was a hoot to drive and very chuckable, and fitted 4 people quite happily

Looks really nice IMO and with the new tax coming in this looks like the new hot hatch to have even if the vxr petrol's do handle like dog turd
what are the rest of the specs - 225bhp but how much torque? 330nm

I bet it's just as crap in the corners as the Vectra VXR and Astra VXR though.
The Astra "only" had 240 and that didn't understand corners at all, nevermind the vectra where the steering wheel was there for your amusement and had next to no functionality
