Gauge Mounts
ive been toying with where to have my gauges and have decided to have them in the upper sterio hole, does anybody make these mounts or will i have to have 1 made? carbon preferably.
any1 got any pics of gauges there?
ill be looking to put 3 gauges there, are 52mm the only 1's which will fit?
and finaly i will be buying 4 gauges, boost is obvious but what gauges do people suggest for a cossie?
alot of questions for something so simple i know

Well I cant comment about the radio gauge mount, I have the middle vent type mount for 3 gauges and a pillar mount. The gauges I have and belive to be the most important on a tuned cossie are in no order of prefrence..
1. Boost gauge
2. Exhaust temp
3. Fuel pressure
4. Oil pressure

4. Oil pressure
cheers, car isnt tuned yet but im trying to get everything else sorted before i up the power and i have been told gauges are quite important.
whats the importance of the exhaust temp?
i have a boost gauge made by mocal, looks abit crap but does the job. I am either going to get mocal gauges to match this or move to a different make and replace the boost so they all match.
any recomendations for which to get, i have been looking at greddy but im not sure.

Mocal are an accurate gauge, I personally dont like greddy - too much of a jap influence which I dont think suits the cossie. The exhaust temp gauge gives you an indication of the overall tune of the engine, if the engine is running lean or rich it will effect your normal exhaust temp, only expensive 5 wire lamda AFR's are accurate enough to determine this quickly.

mocal dont do all of these gauges suggested, i would prefer them to match as well for no real reason i just dont see why not, what brand do basically all of the 1's listed below, then i can pick and choose which 4 to go for
Boost
Oil Temp
Oil Pressure
AFR(wideband)
Exhaust Temp
Fuel Pressure
Boost
Oil Temp

I have three gauges in the radio slot but I soon removed the boost gauge as I couldn't take a peek at it fast enough. I have oil pressure, oil temp and engine temp in mine - all smiths so they look period. I put my boost gauge in one of the pods designed and moulded into the upper steering column cover.
That way I can keep an eye on it much much easier - it lines up with the original gauge in the dash which is hidden behind it - works a treat.
