Default 4x4 shock in 2wd hub?? anyone got ideas?

I have a very nice set of leda remote res coilovers that are set up to run with the conncentric top mounts I have already.

I have since decided to go to 2wd in stead of 4wd but really dont want to get rid of the shocks as similar would cost more money I dont have at the minute.

My main question is can I have the 2wd hubs machined out to accept the 4x4 shock? Has anyone actually ever done this? I have heard that there is a different material arround the area i'd need to machine..any ideas?

Cheers
Dan

just leave the cv joints in the front hubs but take the shafts out.

yup, as above

the only thing you need to worry about really is the offset of the brakes and possible differences in the bottom ball joints

well I do have a 4x4 front end I could put on instead of the 2wd front end.......Although I did hear from someone that it doesnt steer right when you do it this way..major bump steer or something??? I dunno...

how does yours steer will?? notice anything different to a normal 2wd car?

you'd need to use all the 4wd front end to keep the same geometry as there are differecnes with the arbs as well
