I'm currently decorating at my new house and want to hide the wiring so need idea's, I have a few but its alot of work my way. Is there anyway to get it wireless? It was relativley easy for me as I used the old chimney breast for my install which meant all cables could be hidden easily.
wall plates are available for speaker terminals, hdmi etc, just search the net for them

see how many connections there are on the back of the Tv, will you use all of them. Will you get any hdmi sources like sky hd , ps3 or new dvd player. If so run these cables in but make sure you can access them at a later date.
what about VGA monitor cable for using a laptop run this in too, then you can use a wireless keyboard and surf the net from the comfort of your sofa.

all of my speaker cables are run under the floorboards for my surround sound and come out at the old fireplace hole.

this shows some of the cables like power, vga , scart and hdmi

voila the finished product.

use as much forward planning as possible then you wont need to do anything to it in future.

2 x DVD changers (1 pal, 1 ntsc), dd amp, cable box and xbox hidden in the toilet cupboard behind the TV, all controlled via RF pronto, subwoofer in sideboard, no wires on show at all

Wires in the toilet hidden in trunking running above the skirting...

Can you not just chase out enough space for a large piece of pipe then you could plaster over it and whenever you needed to put a new wire in you could just thread it down the pipe?

Job done
