I'm beginning to think that they've actually made a typo on the form and the L should be an I, then you could get Primitive.

The whole form is slightly retarded. One of their other questions is 'Which group of letters does not CONTAIN a word?'

They all CONTAIN words but obviously the top one doesn't make a word using all the letters..

As above, could the last letter be a big I rather than a small L? That would give primitive, which is an autonym of modern, though not exactly.

Reminds me of a test I did with a recruitment company a few years ago. Something like 50 questions. The girl said, well I've marked your test, you've done better than anyone before, 49 out of 50, you only got one wrong..
