not going into gear when warm

got a 1988 standard escort rs turbo after driving the car quite hard it dosent seem to want to select a any gears when its cold or running normall temp i can select any gear fine any ideas?

Have you checked the oil level?

Might need a oil change?

Or the clutch is playing up once hot..... (ie. sticky clutch)
