Im looking to buy a ford escort rs turbo in about 4 months time roughly. im just wonderin is there many out there now rust free ? and what price do u think id be lookin at for 1 in mint condition.

Im selling mine just now for 3 K very tidy example indeed and i live near glasgow.

 

i was lookin at ures in the for sale part stunning car m8, if only i had the cash now.

 

Theres loads out there with no rust mate, obviously it'll be a bit harder to find a rustfree one thats also got a good engine and interior but just take your time when looking. Do plenty of research first i.e reading up on the buying guides and looking through the classifieds to get an idea what prices theyre going for. How much you are you gona have to spend on one bud?

 

as above mate do plenty of research and dont buy the 1st one you see, gauranteed you will be tempted by it as i was, wait for the right one and make sure you take em for a test drive also check for usual rust spots

well hopefully by october i should have 6k at the most to spend.

 

yeh take as long as you want to look at it and don't be scared to take a jack with you so you can have a good butchers under it thats what i did. i took about an hour looking all over the car before i decided.
you should be able to get an absolute minter with low milage for that. but if your wanting to be able to use it without worrying about getting it dirty and spend hours cleaning it afterwards i would probably go a bit less.

 

cheers for the advice lads, i wouldnt say im a cleaning freak but u do like the car to be spotless so i would look after when it comes to cleaning etc. A friends owns a valet centre so i get them on the cheap aswell that wil help a bit to keep the interior in mint condition i suppose.
