How the hell do you multiquote on here?

I click the multiquote button in a post but nothing happens

It's easy

On the thread that you want to use the multi-quotes > click on the inverted comma button on each reply you want to include in the multi-quote > then click on the post reply button at the bottom. The reply box will open up with all the posts you have selected to quote.

AJ you're not trying to use the Quick Reply box for multi-quoting, are you? It has to be this button you use

Have you got Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing selected in Miscellaneous Options in UserCP > Edit Options?

Click on each post that you want to quote, so they change to then click OR, you can click on the last post that you want to quote, which will include that one as well, and jump to the reply box with them all in

I've got Enhanced Interface - Full etc selected in my options but I'm not getting that big 'post reply' button at the bottom of a thread for some reason
