very curious about the difference between the s4 and the rs4 as they seem to use the same engine-but power outputs are a lot different.
do they use bigger turbo's,etc.,uprate it internally?
just curious about what i can get out of my s4?

Bigger exhausts
120bhp
Different Cams

quite expensive for an s/t v reg car-£15k or so,.......
would love to see how it goes though with the extra power as the s4 feels like its missing something-its quick, but very smooth-feels like it would be much better with some more boost!
only feels like about 8psi or something.........30psi!yum,yum..............BANG¬ !

That said, they are expensive and they hold their money really well. But pretty rare.
Any questions give us a shout.

Jay, ive got an RS4 Bi Turbo. Absolutely stunning car even though its 6 odd years old!!! Performance wise, there is still probably very little that could worry it in terms or straight line, handling and braking (ive got the newer B7 V8 Model front brakes).

im really liking the s4,love the look of it,especially in nogaro blue, and its very practical....feels very solid and nice to drive......just needs some more power.may get it remapped and see what its like then-and some porsche brakes or rs4 ones.
or it may get sold, knowing me!
I drove a s4 with full rs4 turbos manifold was so say mapped to around 400 bhp.Tbh felt slow and not 400 bhp but it is a huge car went ok.Was strugling to keep up with the my clio v6 round the twisties in the s4.He did know the road better than me and the s4 is more motor way beast i supose.
Mine is 509bhp, and there ain't alot of cars out there that will keep up with it....especially on the sunny side of 190mph.....5 up...in an estate.
STD they are 380bhp. Chipped 420bhp. Exhaust, cats and stage 2 is like 450bhp..... Bulletproof.

Alot of cash.
Engine out
Bigger turbo's
Sports Cats
Manifolds
Downpipes
Boost pipes
Headwork
Cams
ECU upgrade
Fuel lines
Fuel pumps
Water injection
Air filter.
With that you will need
Brakes front and rear
Suspension
Anti roll bars
Bushes
Like anycar really, if you spend the money, you get results. The more you spend, the faster you go!!
You don't have to go too crazy, but with all the other mods on mine......£75k + car !!!!

From: Bonnie Scotland !! Or offshore in Africa!!!!
I used to have an S4, thought it was great, carry the family and a few other things if you want, and superb on the twisties.....sold it bought another m3 evo for nice power slides but i do miss the confidence you get in the wet with the audi. Would love an RS4, in fact would take one over an M3...........and that comes from someone that loves M3's!!!!
