Default AP CP5200's as rear callipers?

Quick question, does anyone make a bracket for an Escort Cosworth to allow AP 4 pots (Cp 5200's) to be used as rear callipers, but leaving the original ford callipers in place to make use of the mechanical handbrake facitily? What size rotors would be good to compliment the fronts? (6 pots on 362's) 330's to keep the balance right? . I don't really want to mess about fitting a bias valve unless I have to.

big brakes on the rear are good.

But just get some rear calipers rather than front ones.....

Mine were cheap 2nd hand.

I have 380mm AP 6 pots on the front and 330mm AP 4 pots on the back and Martin did all mine.

The braking is UN-FUCKIN BELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!!!! thats why!!! LOL

Only worrying thing is really that if you brake hard the car behind you can't stop as quick..............its a big worry when you going down the motorway and then the outside lane just stops!!

Surely the piston area is way too big on a front caliper to use on the rear (hence bias valve required?) wouldnt it be better to buy propper rear calipers?

Nope. Because your increasing the braking by approx 75% both front and rear with my conversion you don't need one. If you had 330's both front and back then maybe you'd need one on the back.

hi will

i have had these on the car a good few yrs now and the breaking is fooking awesome

you can ask anyone that his been in my car will tell you the same it's doesn't matter about rwd or 4wd they are just the bollocks they do fookink work and work proper too

you defo need the biast adjuster and you have to keep the compensator valve on aswell other wise they will lock up

marco
