i know you can use US dollars out there but i hear sometimes they give you mexican money in change?? how many of the mexican $$$ or whatever they are to the english pound? if its 3000 of them it will be confusing especially when im drunk!

Its mexican Pesos, and 1 Dollar is about 0.09 ish Pesos, so youll get just over 10 Pesos to a dollar.

 

Its better to take dollars, I dont think you can get pesos here anyway.... there currency is really worthless and you will get more for dollars out there and the rate for dollars is so good anyway, I was in CAncun in 2002 and it was lovely! you will have a great time, I went for spring break (march) its full of mad americans

 

Based on what a mate of mine said who has been there a couple of times on motorcross holidays, you are best off with the USD

 

I would say US Dollars are better too.

We were there last year and got a bit of pesos in the change, but soon spent that in gift shops etc


We never went in spring break and still had mad americans everywhere in our resort
