hello what lowering kits that are of a reasonable and how low would be normal 40mm 60mm or 80mm??

The best set up tends to be standard ride height....the more you lower the Sierra the worse it handles

 

Dont do it!!!!!!
If you want to lower it only do a small amount, i think this is even more important if your car is a 4x4, i've just got bayjoo spec springs which are nearly standard hight but uprated for handling, i've not found better ones yet & i know guys on here rate them also.

I used to have a normal sierra hatchback which was loweredi think 30 mm. It used to wear tyres off on the back on the inner edges. I had to keep swapping the tyres round on the back.

 

ahmed springs with koni's on mine, doesnt drop it much but gives it just the right stance and handles real well for a taxi

 

As already stated above don't go too mad with the lowering as well as tyre wear the other problem you get if the car is too low is the rear drive shafts hit the chassis rail under load and the exhaust back box hits the road, cossies squat like fuck when you boot them off the line so stick to a sensible ride height, I always advise a coilover suspension set up so it can be adjusted to how you want it/ what is acceptable
