Default Cossie breather system

Lads Ive got a breather system on my car I see its got a drain tap on it can anyone tell me does this need maintainance or drained of oil or something ? i dont even know how the system works,

Depending on the type of system fitted. I have one on my 2WD which has a breather pot fitted on the bulkhead and also a tank under the inner wing. I think the tank under the wing is to collect all the water which has been produced from the hot oil vapour condensing in the breather its self. I drain the tank at least once a year.
