I used to really love fuckin about with me 2nd car,my cossies,RST`s,me 5 etc etc,but ive fucked about today gettin me engine out the fiesta,and it seemed SUCH a chore....

I really dont think my hearts in it any more..Can see me doin this 1,selling it,and just getting me a normal car from now on....

New job,i work 11hours a day,THEN sat mornings,last week i worked ALL week,AND all day sat and sun,so its not like i have time to do it on a night,im too tierd

Plus i think about thing is,when you work on cars ALL FUCKIN DAY like i dont,you have no incentive to do your own after work... And Sundays the only real day i get off,and if you think im fuckin about with a old fiesta on my only day off,then its a big,fat,NO WAY!!!!!!!!

Well not alot... Rolling Mk3 fiesta turbo shell!!! Thats it...

Spent over Ł900 on new bits for it,to bolt on,when its done... So i suppose i could sell them,as there all new.. I just dont know!!!

I think IF i had somehwere like Seans got in his garden,then it wouldnt be a prob,LOADS of room,warm,and if i wanna stop half way through cuase im pissed off,i can,,but if i wanna stop working on it here,as you know,its not just a push it back in situation.... Its clean up,move EVERYTHING,as my garage is my house!!!

Thats just it Dom,i DO love that side of it..Many a times ESP with the 3dr and 5,if i hadnt gone out the night before,body clock would get me up at 6am,so id just go out,1st thing,fill it up,do 150miles,and have a good ol laugh on some lanes somehwere,and stop off for a sarnie or somehting somehwere..I agree,ITS GREAT!!!!!!

I felt the same as you do now a couple of years ago. I got rid of my RS-Turbo as I couldnt be bothered with it anymore and it was just a money box. I sold it and bought a Focus RS as it gives me a performance car and comes with the benefits of a modern car. I realise you can buy faster cars and its not as quick as a 300bhp RS but I have piece of mind knowing that it will start everytime and I wont have to worry about leaving it anywhere.

I guess what im saying is, instead of having two cars-sell both and have 1 really good car that gives you performance and modern benefits.

 

Well to be honest,thats what id like... I used to have alot of access to a PD150 golf gti diesel,and il be honest,it was fuckin AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Id be MORE than happy with 1 of them as a everydayer!!

I wanted a golf diesel actually....but this came up as a part ex for my beemer, so just went for it.

my mate has a 130bhp Tdi golf and it's sooooo nice to drive and live with...cheapish now too

Feel like this alot (lucky i have a normal cheap run around really) but then go to a show of a trackday and get the urge to finish mine again

 

Must admit pete i think if i worked on cars all day i couldnt work on mine at weekends! Its hard doing work on the house after doing it through the day so i know what ya mean! Just got plans drawn up for an extension to ours too so ill be in the same situ

 

150's are a little more than that...you might find one at auction though for around that money.

a chipped 130bhp model might be a better bet....
