Default connect breather to inlet manifold or not?

bit confused on this one!
got the instructions thru from Spec-R (thanks ) on fitting the oil breather to the s2, and on there it says to connect one outlet to the elbow on the inlet manifold as per the original breather.
I read on here a while back many people including Karl @ NMS say dont do this as you are pressurising the breather with boost which obviously aint good!

Whats the best thing to do in this case, connect it with a non-return valve or not connect it? Why is it connected there in the first place anyway, cant work that out!

Secondly another connection goes to the metering unit, i thought one point of an uprated oil breather is that it doesnt return it to here, as this will force it back thru the boost pipes again

anyone shed any light? ta!

production cars are all about emmissions, breathers are routed back to the engine so any emmissions are consumed

my rst didnt run the breather back to an inlet tap, i just blocked the hose off and used the tap for the boost gauge.

the metering unit again dont have to be routed to the afm, vent it to atmos under the car and block off the afm

Aw Rich, it's easier to show mate, you know how untechnical I am.

If you mean the elbow off the top of the throttle body, I had it taped up with duck tape but now I've sorted it

It'll take about 20 minutes to fit. I was planning on having a nap this afternoon.

Hehe. are you up and about now? It could be done and fitted by 1pm?

cool, I'll warm the car up and should be with you in 15 mins.

I like my coffee like I love my men. Hot, Black and strong.

With no sugar and in a cup. Which is kind of where the analogy brakes down.

you can connect it to the inlet manifold if you use a 1 way valve, there should have been 1 in the box I sent you
