How do you know its the inlet thats restrictive. I'll bet its plenty good enough up to around 160bhp.....i'd imagine cams and a decent exhaust and 4-2-1 manifold would be the best start. And a remap to match

to get a genuine 150bhp out of the 1800 zetec ain't that cheap and needs very good setting up to perform right.
i'm pretty sure the inlet is fine for upto 170 odd bhp and which point you'd need t/bs to get anymore anyway.
another option is the rover inlet but it needs a fair bit of odding to fit

It is well known that standard inlets are restrictive.

A standard 2 ltr ZETEC can produce 170+ bhp, you dont need cams until then.

They do pal! when the throttle is wide open you can see straight into the head port, cant beat the sound of a motor on TB,s, twin carbs or bike carbs at wide open throttle

Wont fit Escorts and Fiesta engine bays.

You can adapt the Rover Turbo inlet.

Bike Carsb are out on post 94 cars for emisisons.

The best bet is bike TBs, that is what i have.

Use bike TBs, you will get good economy, no emissions worries, easier to tune etc.

the 2.0 one does fit, it just taps the brake bar when revved. If you are ok with that then go ahead and fit it
