Default ENGLAND--What do we think then, A new ERA or what

Well today is the debut match of the new manager.....Fabio Capello

Going on the strict guidelines laid down at the hotel this week, i think it will be good for England...

No More big stars living off there names to get them in the team

I think in a year or twos time players will again be PROUD to be in the line-up...

here are some of the guide lines that he put in place.....

Players will ALWAYS be seen in there Suits while on England duties
No flip flops to be worn
All players must be in bed by 10pm while on england duty
NO WAGS

That will knock the fuckers into line.....getting rid of the flip flops

They get relatively fuck all for it anyway. Nothing to do with money IMO, its all attitude.

Lets hope it changes

biggest change one caould make to english football for the better IMO would be to tell the media to shut up about '66, stop saying its been done once it can be done again and buinding the team up for a fall.

Support the team, take each game as it comes, be happy with every stage they get thru. Too many england fans seem to think they have a god given right to win and then get disappointed when they dont.

Best thing that could happen to english football is to limit the number of foreign players in domestic games back to 2 a side , how it was years ago.

Seats look good though. Club wembley... middle tier, ROW 1!

Will take some phone pics of view

a team of players who ve earned their place rather than the usual suspects chosen for who they are not how theyve been playing cant be a bad thing.

Nope - watching the same game thank you very much.

The 1st half was f-ing awful up until the goal. They were all over the plece.

Come the away game in France, they'll be slaughtered.

But heh.... here's hoping for a brighter future base.

i agree the 1st half was a bit boring BUT

its their first game under new management and they were a bit headless but they soon sorted themselves out a bit. i personally was glad to see a change from the usual England run around

roll on the french

Personally i dont think any english manager would get the best out of these boys it needed to be italian to show some bollocks and put them straight, the players are shit scared of him just like it bloody should be hes the gaffa its his way or no way

on the match i thought it was pretty crap boring first half, second was much better much better at ripping there defence apart and need to do that in more of the match to show any progress. Fabio was spot on with his comments about the team forgeting how to play near the last few minutes as he felt the team was too scared to loose

he needs time for his tactics, mentality to transport into the players minds

I have NEVER been to a game where more people left early! I left at 80mins as there was a mass exodus happening around me!

On Tv was there anyone left at full time???

Wembley way was SOOOO busy with 10 mins STILL left it was crazy!

Listening to the reports of the game this morning, it seems the 1st half was poo as the players were "trying too hard for the managers eye" as Rooney put it. Only natural I expect.

Maybe Capello gave them a damn good talking to at half time, as they did come out playing better football after the break. He speaks better english than he lets on apparently

dead right there mate....its that kind of grit and determination that we like to see,30 seconds in and rooney was chasing them down.

gerrard...too much hype about him i'm afraid, good when you get him in the right position.

positives...bentley,upson....let the others think they have competition in those places.

did they show a replay of the last 5 seconds...did upson save us from 2-2 with the last kick....not sure what happend cause they didnt show it.

Eh? Good Lord.... Gerrard had a hand in setting up both goals... did you miss that?

Rooney is far better playing behind a striker and not as a lone striker. He was satisfactory in that role last night, but looked better after the introduction of Crouch but IMO definitely not worthy of MoM.

I'd have put Joe Cole or David Bentley ahead of Rooney for MoM.

redkop...no i didnt miss that....i'm talking about gerrard in general, alot of his passes are over hit.

just cause gerrard played the ball to cole doesnt mean he set it up...cole made that goal himself.

the second it was rooney's flick that allowed gerrard to run through.

Well said mate, couple of guys i work with from England that were upset after the Croatia game giving it large about how they need to take a reality check when it comes to internationals.
McLaren gets the sack,Cappello installed and next thing they are shouting about winning the next World cup before they had even played a game so it was straight back to the old selves lol!

Every player had difficulty passing the ball to a player in a red shirt in the first half, so unfair just to pick Gerrard out.... can say Rooney's ball control/first touch and ability to pass in that half was shite too.

MoM means nothing anyway, it's how the pundits perceive it and from what I've read so far in reports.... it should have gone to Joe Cole anyway [which I agree with], so Rooney and Gerrard fans can shut up
