Black plugs...???

I think my car is over fueling, only recently fitted new plugs and there covered in black soot alredy. What is most likely to be the cause of this?

Is there a way to check there functioning properly before I start randomly replacing things?

Yes check the resistance of the CTS, PM me your email and I'll send you the values, in a general spec sheet of the WTS05/09.
