Default 14" wheels rubbing, what to do when i want bigger??

i have a set of 14" ford rs 7 spokes (as seen on alot of xr2s) on my mk4 escort. when peoople are in the back it rubs a little.

do those wheels have an offset on them bringing them closer to the arch??

cos i want a set of 15/16" multispoke wheels, but i am worried they are going to rub all the time.

i cant see how i could roll the back arches, because the rs side skirts are screwed into that lip.

any help?!?! cheers

chopped springs?? 14" wheels should not scrape on normal lowering springs especially ford wheels as they are the correct offset

nah propa -40mm springs but on standard shocks, so it is quite bouncy, but it only rubs over bumps wiv passengers.

can u get aftermarket alloys with an offset different to them to bring the wheels further in the car a little??

4 speed tops out too quick, and i heard the ratios are exactly the same as a 5 speed anyway except the 5 speed obviously has the benefit of the 5th gear.
