Dont know what car or who owned it but there was a lovely white MkII escort with tarmac arches, wide 15's and a set of tiger strips in max power years ago. Always did and still do want a car just like that. (only now I want one with a YB, not a pinto on 40's!!)

Always wanted my neighbours RS500, coont had a Moonstone Blue one at the age of 22, i was only 9 at the time in 1990

Reylands Escort remember seeing it the first time in Fast Car in 1998-9 i think

 

always loved that to.. very early max power feature car.

Used to see it around quite abit, and the yellow Carlton of theirs too, as the editor at the time lived in the same town as me (Oundle)

cant remember many others specifically, but i always liked the escort and fezzas RS turbo's, mk1 & mk2 escorts, mk1 granada coupe's, cossys, R5 turbo's, pug 205 GTi's, lotus sunbeams blah de blah.

I remember the build up of project kicker in max power, thats back in the day when Sticky Butler-handleson used to be a staff writer on there!!

Anyone remember the Courtney vauxhall Nova 16v turbo about the same time, in dark metallic green, full leather etc etc - thats the only vauxhall ive ever looked and thought "i could drive that!!"

Lets not forget the grey and yellow S2 that fast ford did, with the morettes and the PE 1.9 Engine !!!!

 

Used love any Dimma Kitted 205's with proper dished rims. Still love them aswell

Also used to like the original Carisma R5, now think its shite with a crap kit with panel gaps and pointless interior.

A Blue/Silver BB Tuning 350bhp R5GTT, Soon after I drove my first ever turbo car, that being a R5GTT!


And also a Candy Red MK1 Astra on classic TSW rims. It had a LET in it and was LOVELY!

 

Believe me you wouldn't want to own it!!!! No one ever wanted to drive it to the shows, and we'd all rather drive one of the vans than that. It had a permanently flat battery, was painfully loud and had a properly dodgy interior. The gearknob would come off in your hand and one of the guys nearly fell out of it when the door flung open on a roundabout!

Me, I lusted after the Fiat twin cam powered Skoda Rapid in two tone yellow and black that Matt Howell made when he was at Street Machine magazine. I was given the opportunity to buy it without the engine when i worked on Revs and always regretted not taking him up on the offer.

as a yoooof i fell in love with a Skeete R5 turbo.. was the same as this but slime green.. and on five spokes cant find the actual pic anywhere

i remember seeing that mini too, at silverstone '94 for the first 'fastest mini in the world race'. the poor guys had a nightmare when they got here, but it was the trickest mini i ever saw.
