Hello all, just thought I would join as I liked the look of the forum and have a Ford myself, its an American Explorer, 4 litre, V6 auto-208 bhp,
2000 Northface. Charcoal Green. I am from Richmond, Surrey UK.
I have owned this for 3 months now but have owned the xlt model for years prior, I belong to another forum for the American ford range of trucks and suvs, www.explorerforum.com and find that to be a good site for info on the vehicle. The Explorer was only imported to the UK for a few years and that all stopped in 2001, the last model we had was the second generation, mine is amongst the last batch, the series is in the fifth generation now and in the uk has a fair following as we have to look after the cars, Ford UK has no idea about the model, many owners know and do maintain them at home, calling on each other for advice and assistance as required- a true family feeling!

Joined here to touch base with my passion for Ford cars, having been the owner of a mk1 Escort in the 80s, WLD 740M, a car I loved and cut my mechanics tooth on that one, with a full engine strip, rebuild and gearbox overhaul, amid the usual fiddling with that she demanded every now and then!
Anyway now I have told you about me, I am off to look at the posts and indulge myself in memorys of greasy arms and lost patience as I battled to keep my Ford on the road at any cost!
The sweet pain from a Ford!
