how can i get it open?? the whole handle on the kick panel is missing, i cant even see the cable there so its obv gone or snapped

so need to pop it from the underneith somehow? all ive been told is to break the grill ripping it out

its a 2001 golf

 

On my cavalier I ripped grill out, then glued it back together, not too hot on golf's.
Sure from underneath you could get to cable or mechanism without too much difficulty.

 

take the kick panel right off inside the car and then try get at the wire, must be able to get to it before it goes into the bulk head i am sure

unless you not in the car either

 

yer i have the keys


theres nothing inside atal that i can see

 

need to try reach up inside the wing mate and find the cable pull it all the way through from underneath and open that way if poss, i am no scouser just trying to think logically

 

ahh does the cable go inside the inner wing then???

cool ill jack her up in morning then and get it off, if im lucky ill be able to grab it, noing my luck it will be snapped at the bonnet end

 

not to sure but anything is worth a go, if you can jack it up maybe a way of getting in, try belling a vw mechanic at a dealer may give you some advice mate
