Default Who has the 20 sec interior light delay?

When selected, my owners manual says that after shutting the door, the interior light should stay on for 20 secs, unless the key is turned to ignition which will then turn the light out.
Mine turned off as soon as the door was shut, so I checked behind the fusebox to locate the delay relay and found a metal link inserted instead!
Has anybody else got this setup, or do you have the delay relay fitted?

The manual says it's R17 which should be a yellow relay. Looks like yours has the relay fitted.

mine was the same i think its where its had a new fuse box at some point. i just put a relay in there and it works fine now if you want to check the options on your fuse box the wiring diagrammes show you what fuses and relays should be fitted

It's a Lux version, don't know if the fusebox has been replaced in the past.
I've ordered a relay, so should be sorted hopefully.
According to the manual, R10 is 'Engine running' and R11 is'Air con, ABS,or Fuel injection system'. Other codes are not listed.

Cheers, Gez

according to the wiring diagrams R10,R11,B1 are free and D2 is for interior illumination on an early 92 models but on later models R10 is engine run and R11 is air-con other than that the same.
