Saved for ages and then wrote my 4x4 saff off and the insurance pay out topped up the cash to £16500 (thank god for protected no claims) which paid for mine with 32k on the clock, roughly 380bhp, in it's current trim, (apart from the speedlines and AP brakes which i've just had done this year) with all the original bits in boxes and insurance!!!!

I've just took it over 64k

looked at a fiesta turbo. bought the astra because it blends into the background so to speak, just park it up and forget about it

Why? You for modding the bonnet with some spikes!! snazzy idea!

Im saving already for my cossie, only 17, driving a 1.4 fiesta LX right now, so hopefully.. by the time i've graduated ( 2007/8) and got my first full time (well) paid job, i'll be able to get me one within the year

Saying that... the last escort cossie rolled out the factory on the.. 12th? of feburary 1996... meaning if i get one of the last ones made.. it's still gonna be 15 ish years old which is.. well old i suppose!

Hopefully the "in the pipeline" Focus RS Cosworth will be a rival for the classic that is the Escort Cosworth!

Here's hoping.....

if you dont put big bhp through them i think they are very reliable. if you put 60% more power through something is gonna have problems!

no mate, i meant they weren't on it for long!!

but its a good idea!!! my rottweiller attitude to people that don't respect the fookin legend is enuff to pit em off!!!!!

good luck with the good job/esc/foc cossie!

if the focus cossie emerges, (which i have had a bit of insider information that the engine was the last ford owned cossie project) then it should be a winner!!!!!

they have pedigree together!!

there isn't a waiting list for nothing, surely!

they havent removed any of the work force yet!!

the focus cossie engine is finished and sitting there!!!!!

it costs too much for ford at the minute!!

but they said that about the BDA engine as well!!

ford cannot afford to miss out by not doing a mental 4x4 focus cossie!

lets face it, if the current rs focus is the future of the rs marque, we are doomed!!!
