i think these days with tuners having better technology to play with i would say there both as good as each other, the problem for tuners with less toys to play with is that ofac has a boost limit of 1 bar (14.7 psi)....the ofab doesnt...this 'could' be be a reason why ofab is generally known to be better.... hope this helps and if ive said some thing not 100% right that some one will correct me...

Ofab had less restrictions than ofac few years back...

If your planning on changing though omex or emerlad is your best option.

the reason is I bought a FRST without engine or engine loom, going to rebuild it as soon as. so buying the best loom becomes important

OFAC is more accurate that OFAB which is why Ford replaced it. OFAC uses a frequency based MAP Sensor whereas OFAB uses a more standard voltage based signal IIRC. Consequentially you can upgrade to a 3-bar on OFAB wehereas with OFAC you are stuck with Fords sensor.

In the process of refining the system the introduced a number of limitations that are difficult to get around. Hence if you are planning to go for big power then OFAB is more suitable, but for less than 200bhp theres not much difference tbh.
