What a laugh I had playing this till the wee hours of this morning at a mates house.

I only just manage to complete it on Easy mode. (only uses 3 colours)

Expert will take a bit more getting used to.........

oh my god i bought this game for my other half for christmas on my x box and she has just completed on the easy setting and know is gonna do it on the medium setting

i never have a chance to play my games know

Have GH 1,2,3 and the 80's encore... I'm really good and in between hard and expert.. Taryn is even better and only plays on expert!

I'm shit on it But that might have something to do with playing a guitar mind. My mate is a superb guitarist, and sucks on GH, yet his girfriend can't play guitar to save her life, but rules on GH...

Songs in 3 are not the best though. Much better songs in first 3 games (3 in actually number 4 as there is a 'Rocks the 80s game'

GH1 and GH2 are the best discs .... we have some HUGE marathon sessions around mine.... I'm talking 12 hour + ones

Have you ever thought about playing a real guitar?

Seriously though it may be fun to some but its basically just air guitar nothing more. Everyone is different but i play games to do things i can't like shoot someone with a fuck off gun or steal a car and run someone over etc, sure gameplay is a big part but still. Anyone can get a guitar and start to learn there favourite songs then chords, scales etc so i don't see the point with GH. Even old stoke on trent Slash must be laughing his balls off all the way to the bank.

When all is said and done and the game is forgotten about you're still left with zero skill and techniques what with all those possible combinations on that guitar.

Each to their own though, Happy air guitar.

Question for you old GH pro's. If I buy GH3 and guitar now would I be able to buy GH1&2 and use the GH3 guitar or are they game specific?

they havnt changed the layout.

i know you can play Guitar hero 2 with the hero 1 guitar tho

You can buy GH3 and use any of the old games with the new wireless guitar no problems

 

+1 Lighten up, it's a Game for fks sakes! Yes, I've played guitar, play drums, I even play the radio!
Any game you buy when it's over with you're still left with no skills except for that game. Ohhh I'm gonna go play GT4 and when I'm done I'm going to be an expert car racer! Or maybe I'll play a football game and be excellent on the pitch LOL. It's a game not real life

Are you thick or what? You've totally misunderstood what i was trying to say and gone off somewhere else. Did i say you get skills from racing or football games? NO, what i actually said was why play a game when you can easilly (if not more so) do the real thing. As far as I'm aware people can't/won't go racing a lamborghini round known tracks, play against Brazil at Wembley or steal cars and shoot people in broad daylight like you do on GTA.

I assume people who play this would like to be able to play guitar or at least are drawn to good music so why not play the real thing after all its a lot more satisfying and no doubt we all already waste enough time on other games anyway. Fastmaul if you play/played instruments then that doesn't make your argument any stronger as you should be practising more instead of wasting time on that shit. Personally I'd prefer to stand in front of the mirror unplugged with a cd on, you lot probably do moves and poses as well

Guitar hero is basically like Big brother sitting there doing/watching something in a fake manner, fun or not and NOTICE i said each to their own and maybe it does have gameplay so why get so worked up? Just my opinion mate don't like it that's your problem.

 

Spent all night playing it - I'm shit lol but thats because I know how to play a real guitar, and that thinking is hard to break when playing the game. My mate is the same (he's a guitarist) yet my other mate who has never even held a real guitar is the bollocks at it

I did manage to get 44% on DragonForce in expert mode tonight after the third attempt

Point in hand tho - I know how to play Slayer's "Raining Blood" on a real guitar, and it's sooooo hard to apply that to GH as it's sooooooo different!

Good fun tho! Can't wait to play Rock Band as I'm a drummer and wanna play the "kit" on it
