an police rs 200 pulled over a sierra cossie!!!! looks like there chatting!!!! l
Publicity photo. There was never a genuine RS200 police car. It was a mock-up just to announce that "it doesn't matter if you have a Sierra Cosworth (one of the fastest cars at the time) as we will always have something faster to catch you"
Some great pics above.
Here's what pulled up outside my house last yr. One of the drivers is an original EscCos police driver: I recognised him from the 'special' tv program with the EscCos.
Car was never re-registered to a non-UK plate (RAC still have it as an RS200) - although it seems that it may be gone (?) as it was last taxed in 1990
The vehicle details for C829 FHK are:
Date of Liability 29 10 1990
Date of First Registration 19 02 1986
Year of Manufacture 1986
Cylinder Capacity (cc) 1803CC
to be honest tho with 2 seat old bill cars whats happens if they nick ya??????? and that 1 seater thing they cant even chase ya gota be 2 people there 1 as a witness lol
They call for back-up to take you away They have video facility so they don't need two people
police just carnt drive high performance cars at all
As much as I dislike some of the methods used by the boys in blue and their superiors and there is no love loss between them and Luciano
I must disagree with you on this ocassion, the old bill are good drivers especially the advanced trained ones, also they do it day in day out which builds up a lot of experience, experience makes for a good driver
Anyway, you've seen the programmes on the telly, road wars, police camera action, car wars etc etc, how often do the drivers of "bandit" vehicles get away? good viewing though

Although i agree i have to say somthing, if someone did get away then they wouldnt show it because it could give off the wrong signal to people watching thinking "well if he could get away then if they chase me i could have a go at getting away" therefore risking more inncocent lives with some drunk idiot doing 85mph in a 30mph, also its much more fun to watch if they get caught thats what i think any way and speaking to some police men i know!
They do actually show them getting away, but most times are down to the police backing off to avoid pushing the criminal too hard and endangering the public - basically not worth the risk.
I think the trained police are excellent drivers, the beat bobbies do drive like muppets round by me constantly in 2nd gear and ragging the shit out of the cars for no reason
But, have no doubt when they get given a powerful motor, they must get a little carried away, and if your on the road 8 hours a day day in day out, the odds are you will twang the odd one.
