Can I suggest that maybe this could be arranged.
Lots of talk on this Forum about mega powered Cars so why not run our own event to find out who really has the fastest car on this Forum. I have the most to lose cos mine is officially the Fastest Cosworth.
I realise a few people think their car is capable of beating 201.8 so why not give them a chance, certainly I want to beat it.
There would have to be a criteria for entering & perhaps someone who is respected could suggest a minimum spec , I suggest MikeR.

think if its gonna be a top speed event any fooker shoudl be allowed not the forum "celebraties"

im sure sum people on here have decent cars and can acutally drive em too may suprise a few

if ya end up haveing a totb type event where a "impartial" person makes a desision then not every one will get a chance

think all should be allowed and all pay money

oh and on this minimum spec, i seem to recall a member on this forum with a not so special spec erst that done a fooking wicked top speed for his spec, infact theres 2 i can think of

though only 1 would be asked as the other aint got the correct spec to do that yet is basic spec ( stage 2 hybrid erst turbo, no .48 or.63 housing) made 149.9mph and brunters

think the drivers are what makes the difference in some of these

i got a stage 3 cossie with cams blah blah, i got beat off the lights by a 1.8 focus

im sure i shopuld have won but i drive like a pussy , so i got beat

im sure i aint the only one either, maybe one of the few who are honest to admit it though

 

Would love to have a run to see what the old girl can to, Will prob have to turn the 55mph speed limiter of as the DVLA classed it as a truck with the weight

why? if people want to trailor their cars then they should be allowed..

not everone likes driving x hundred miles in a cossie - not through cost of fuel. If a person wants to trailor his or her car, then its upto them imo.

Sounds a great Idea! Id love to see (hear about as chances are with it being at Brunters we wouldnt get to see for ourselves) who's car does what. Due to Insurance Etc Etc! Which if fair enough!

Being realistic about it, and I know what you are saying Ginge, but there needs to be a measuring stick used, some method of selecting whos cars are likely to be the fastest.

No use 20 Stage 3 3drs/Escossie's/Saphs all turning up as they simply arent going to be the Fastest.
