The best hot hatch ever?
Hi all,
I'm trying to get a bit of a debate going on the Discovery Home & Leisure Channel website about the best hot hatch of all time.
I've thrown it open to the other usual suspects - RS Turbo, Pug 205 GTi, Golf GTi etc. Reckon (as an ex-Fast Ford chap) there's a host of RSs out there with a shot at the title.
It's just a bit of a giggle, really, be grateful if you've time to pitch in.

Cheers.

Hot hatchs are little, light FWD cars with in my opinion. Not 4wd Rally cars for the road.

shit build quality but the uno turbos were fairly quick and low on insurance aswell.
Missis had one as her fast car tuned to 150bhp and it was very quick but scary tourque steer
MK1 Astra GTE
Daihatsu (the little 1litre turbo thingy)

Ive had 3 gte 16v's and didnt crash any of em
I think they handle spot on, you have to remember people think they handle bad because you are going so much faster into a bend then the equivalent rs turbo/gti so it seems to handle bad , plus an ultra reliable engine that loves to rev and will do 150k without a rebuild.
