its the green ended threaded bolt on thing on the right hand side of the inlet manifold, on an S2 will have a plug over it, right above or below where the servo pipe is!

nah, ALL S2 had em mate. 90spec just ran different ECU *codes*

 

mines an s2 mate and mine HAS an s2 inlet manifold and doesnt have that sensor, i'm 90% sure that was one of the many things changed on 90spec ERST's

 

The knock sensor came around 87-88. So all S2s don't have it, but it came much earlier than the 90-spec.

 

fook me ya learn somin new every day, the amount of times ive looked at that green plug as its staring ya in the face when lookin under bonnet lol

My Engine in my S1 is out of a D plate and it has a knock sensor on the inlet, albeit not attached! although the engine could of came from a 90 spec car before that i suppose!?
