I have a laptop with wank vista on and I have looked at the Desktop folder in explorer and there are icons within the folder but they do not appear on the desktop.

Any Ideas?

 

Dont understand what your trying to do?

If you want stuff from a folder onto the desktop just highlight it using the left mouse button then drag the files onto the desktop

Maybe thats not what you want to do?

 

i know what you mean. There is a desktop folder with icons that arent on the desktop. I think he is trying to point out it is a pointless stupid folder lol

 

I have no icons showing on my desktop, however there are icons within the desktop folder

 

Do you want to get folders like "my computer" "my documents" etc on the desktop?
Infact show my a screenshot, im on windows xp at the moment
