Doesnt coolant have a higher boiling temp or summit and you NEED water in it to help it cool down?

Tillio it does move now and then, jus not THAT often

As coolant has much better heat transfer properties wtf would you want water for........it boils earlier and doesnt get rid of heat as good as coolant !!!!........so your motor will run a little bit cooler if ya got more coolant in.....
Actually there aint that much difference but coolant also has rust preventer in int so thats gotta be good for ya engine....

I think all teh coolant/ A/f does is lower the freezing point of water to below 0'c so taht the water doesn't freeze inside the block and crack it

i have known people to run with neat ( just anit freeze) with no probs but most put a mix in, book say 40% mix, but i alway put 50% in my fiesta rs and it runs in the middle of the temp gauge near on all year round unless its real hot weather then it creeps up abit if in traffic.
if your book says 7.8L total coolnt, then stick 3.9L anitfreeze in, cant go wrong.
if your not sure if's its strong enough ( which it would at 50%) get a anitfreeze tester.
