Pulsars all back together.. BUT.... - Any ideas?
It seems to be down slightly on compression on cyl2
chris didnt say how much by, but a "little"
Heads been off, stripped, checked for cracks (all ok!
) skimmed and rebuilt,Any ideas why it may be down?
pistons rings maybe?
Valves need settling in?
Bet its gonna hurt the wallet anyway.. Its gotta, Its me, the most unluckiest guy ever

If the head has been properly redone then its pistons - so could be rings/bores or a bent rod.
Bring it to me to find out whats wrong matey
Depends how much its down, if its less than about 15psi its no big deal
Found this pic for you today too burt, massive so would be a good desktop.

Do you know what it was before ??
If it's now less than it was before then it has to be something to do with the head strip / re-build. If he had the valves out I would have thought he should had lapped them back in when he rebuilt the head..

If you dont know what it was before its hard to say what the problem is surely?
Like Stav says, if its very slight its not much to worry about.

Finding out tomorrow what the comp is on all 4, last time off memory it was:
cyl1 160
cyl2 165
cyl3 165
cyl4 160
I done a compression test just before I took it to TOTD and never drove it, So im thinking its the valves
Head wasn't done at TOTD btw...
simon170 yeah kes done the work, head was all done down the road, havent got the recipt to hand so dont know the company... Going down again tomorrow, didnt really have time to stop and chat today.. but just asking on what I know.

lifters are solid in this engine & shimmed to provide the correct clearance, if the heads been apart then its likely that the shims have been put back in the wrong places meaning one of the valves is being held open slightly.
recheck all the valve clearances, thinks theres a how to guide on one of the gtir forums, not a quick job btw
