Default Cossie aircon

Just curious.

I see pictures of cossie sapphs with different pipes for the airconditioning. Some have a pipe from the pump straight to the bulkhead near the inlet manifold and some have the pipes behind the airfilterbox then going to the bulkhead. Does this mean one or the other is done by the manufactury and the other was put in later as an option??
