They seem to hold their value quite well. I was looking at one a couple of years back and they were about that money.

I went in one. They are nice cars, the Recaro interior is lovely although they suffer from fading in the sunlight. I know they can also suffer from a gearbox problem, i think it may be the syncro on 5th.

Performance wise, it didn't hang around and was pretty quick for what it was and handled well.

I'd take one over a Mk4 Golf GTI anyday. They are slow as fuck. My 1.6 Toyota Corolla is faster.

I love them... very similar ethos to a saph... nice practicle 4 door saloon car with a sporty interior and loads of go.

Handle really well.. the VTec sounds awesome.... and Pirates Black is THE colour to have one in..

I have driven a few, very buzzy have to always keep them revving, but if that's your thing they are a better than the golf anyday.
Don't even consider a type r if you want to do towing of any sort, as they are gutless torque wise, lower speeds this is not a problem but above 80/90 a std cos will leave it for dead.
I like the car just not the lack of torque and consequent repeated gearchanges that are necessary due to this.

his 1.6 probably has more than 150 bhp and a whole lot less lard to haul about, so i guess it probably is faster. as much as i hate toymotas, i hate golfs even more

i love em! did my work expereince when i was in high school in a honda dealer and got to go out in a couple, LOVED it!

im looking at a newer, quicker, more reliable and nice looking car, and this ticks all the boxs imo! ALOT of car for the money, and hondas bullet proof reliability.

saying that, as its been said they are prone to gearbox issues due to constant changes to keep the thing in its powerband. one of the ones i went out in as mentioned above was to see a gearbox problem.

Toyota quote 160bhp. I like mk4 golfs, my dad has a GTTDI and it's a nice enough car. The problem is, same as all Golf's, underpowered and slower than it should be as a standard car.

My friend has an E46 330ci and we floored it in 5th from 35-mph agaisnt a Golf GTI and he was going through the gears and still couldn't pull away.

The good thing with the Accords is that they are quite a rare car, it's nice to have something a bit different. Pirates black is also an awesome colour.
