Default Sapph front bumper

The front bumper on my newly acquired Sapp appears to be sagging and loose on one side. Is this a common fault and how easy is it to remove the bumper and replace fixings etc?
Thanks.

There should be to bolts at each side of the wings undo them and the bumper should pull out. You will also need to disconnect the fog lights.

Default bumper

had the same problems myself heres how i fixed mine

remove the bumper drill out the rivets that hold the bracket on both sides out

get the following large washers say 40mm(4No) with 6mm hole m6x60mm long bolts(2no) and nuts(4no)
(got mine at B&Q

put the bolt thr one of the washers and put the through the backside of the bracket and place the bracket back onto the bumper and re rivet the bolt will be held there and can then pass through the openong on the car just under the wing.On the inside this place another washer and then bolt up tight add another bolt to act as a locknut

The other side is the same but dont forget to rivet both in place before fitting the bumper

I hope this is clear if not let me know

exactly what he said, although I got a bracket for an XR4i front bumper, cut off 1cm to get it to line up right, pulled back the top plastic trim and riveted the bracket on, then stuck the trim back

This does seem to be a common problem with the sapphs, don't think there is anything you can do with the middle of the bumper sagging though, would like to know if you can as mine has started to sag now.

Apparantly jacking the front up and leaving it pushes the bumper back into shape? I've not tried this myself
